James Doohan, who played chief engineer Montgomery Scott of the starship Enterprise, passed away today.

You will be pleased to know that when in LV for Mr. Olson's bachelor party we did, in fact, make the toast you suggest...from Quark's bar at the Star Trek Experience in the Las Vegas Hilton. We also were able to acquire some Romulan Ale for the honor (although it was most likely Coors Lite dyed blue).
